I guess I should be talking about playing a game with my sister and her banging her head on the wall and being carted off in the ambulance to Chesterfield Hospital. As well as Total Control Racing, my farseeing dad bought us a kit to put together one of these new fangled computer thangs. There was a red see through plastic box which would be the screen of sorts. You had to stick together the circuit boards in a configuration detailed by the manual. It was a delicate task. so wacking it with a hammer probably wasn’t such a great idea. My dad was definitely of the bodger school of craftsmanship and make do.
At secondary school I bought ZX81 and proudly showed it to my chemistry teacher. Unfortunately for Voytek in pattern recognition this is resting in landfill somewhere.
